  13. Association, Ohio/Penn PacketCluster Network, W5IJU, KF5ZC, AA8JK, NW8F,
  14. WB8LFO, NS0B, JH2PDS/1, JA6VZB, OH1KAG, ON6TT, PB0ALB, DF4RD, DK7UY and
  15. DL7VEE the DXNL for the following DX information.

  17. 40M DX ROUNDTABLE. In an effort to get some organized DX activity going,
  18. K0VVV and others are now meeting at 0600z daily on 7185 kHz and listening
  19. on 7085 kHz at the same time for DX stations outside of Region 2. The 
  20. format of this group is a bit different than a "list net". DX stations
  21. will run themselves instead of having a net control feeding stations
  22. back and forth. It's been more like a "roundtable" than a "list net'.
  23. Everyone, DX and domestic, are invited to join.
  24.  
  25. 4U1UN CARDS UPDATE. The backlog on 4U1, 4U47 and 4U48 cards  are complete
  26. as of January 20th. The 4U49 cards are being processed and will be released
  27. as soon as all the cards are filled out (probably February 1st). If you
  28. do not have your cards by the end of February, contact Jerry, WB8LFO. The
  29. backlog on bureau cards are to follow. Just a reminder! During 1995 the
  30. United Nations will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. Throughout the
  31. year, the 4U1UN station will be signing 4U50UN during many of the major
  32. contests and various times. QSL "ONLY" to W8CZN or WB8LFO.

  34. 9M8, EAST MALAYSIA. Peter, PB0ALB, will be active from Serian in Sarawak,
  35. as 9M8PFB, January 31st to March 8th. Activity will be on 80-10 meters
  36. (no WARC and 160 meters) and SSB only. QSL via CBA.
  37.  
  38. D6, COMOROS. Wolfgang, DK7UY, will be here from February 3-24th. His
  39. callsign is unknown at this time, but he plans to be active on CW, RTTY
  40. and SSB on 80-10 meters. Wolfgang mentions  that QSLs will be send out
  41. via the bureau to everyone in the log, but please note that there will
  42. be "NO" direct QSLing.
  43.  
  44. KP1, NAVASSA ISLANDS. A DXpedition is being planned to take place in
  45. late April or early May with possibly 5 operators. This will be a one
  46. week operation with emphasis on the lower bands and some satellite
  47. activity. Operators mentioned so far are W5IJU, KB4VLO, and K0IYF.
  48. More details are forthcoming.

  50. ON6TT ON THE ROAD AGAIN! Peter, ON6TT, has taken up a two months contract
  51. as a telecom consultant for UNHCR based in the refugee camps of Goma, 
  52. Zaire. He will be replacing (his old friend) Paul, F6EXV (9Q5EXV). On his
  53. way to Africa, Peter will be active first from ITU Headquarters in Geneva
  54. as 4U1ITU. Look for him during the European evenings bewteen January 30th
  55. and February 5th. He should be active from Zaire (9Q) during the week of
  56. February 6th. His tentative callsign should be 9Q5TT. Peter will try to
  57. make some weekend trips to Rwanda (9X) and Burundi (9U), depending on
  58. available transport, time and personal security. His tentative callsign
  59. would then be 4U/ON6TT (with the necessary paperwork for DXCC approval).
  60. With time permitting, he will also try to be active in the CQWW WPX,
  61. CQWW 160 and ARRL DX Phone Contests. During Peter's stay in Africa, he
  62. will concentrate on WARC bands and lower bands, however he wants to
  63. remind everyone this is not a DXpedition, so his time on the air might
  64. be limited, but he will do his best. QSLs for this tour go to ON5NT
  65. - Ghis, CBA or bureau.

  67. TF, ICELAND. Juha, OH1KAG, will be active as OH1KAG/TF from January 27th
  68. to February 3rd. He will be active on CW and SSB but is unsure how active
  69. he will be. His special interest on this trip will be the CQWW 160m DX
  70. Contest. QSL via OH3NE.
  71.  
  72. V3, BELIZE. Alan/NS0B and John/WC0W/V31TP will be traveling here
  73. February 15th, to be a Multi/Single entry in the ARRL CW DX Contest.
  74. V31TP will probably be the callsign used during the contest unless an
  75. arrangement can made for another callsign. There will be some activity
  76. outside the contest on CW and SSB. They leave V31-land on the 20th.
  77. QSL info will depend on what callsign they use but it will either be
  78. to WC0W or NS0B.
  79.  
  80. V6 & KC6, MICRONESIA AND BELAU. JA2NQG and friends will be active from
  81. Pohnpei, February 17-23th, as V63WW. They plan to participate in the ARRL
  82. CW DX Contest and be active on the lower bands. From February 24th to
  83. March 1st, the group will travel to Belau to be active as KC6CW and 
  84. KC6WW. QSL via JA2NQG.
  85.  
  86. VK, AUSTRALIA. Steve, AA8JK, will be traveling with his wife Andrea,
  87. KB8LBQ to participate/compete in the 1995 World Police and Fire Games in
  88. Melbourne, Febraury 26-March 4th. These games are the Olympics for police
  89. and firefighters worldwide. Steve is a firefighter with the Miamisburg 
  90. (south of Dayton) Fire Department. After the games, Steve and his wife
  91. will travel to Queensland (VK4) were Steve plans to be active in the 1995
  92. ARRL International DX Phone Contest as VK4SID. Steve reports that his
  93. callsign VK4SID and his wife's call VK4JAK have been OKed by the WIA, but
  94. they have not received the paperwork as of yet. After the contest, they
  95. plan to travel to some of the Austrailian islands of Queensland for some
  96. IOTA activity. Their IOTA operations will be limited by sunshine and warm
  97. water. On or about March 12th, they will travel to Hawaii for more sun and
  98. fun. They hope to be active from KH6-land, March 13-17th. QSL to: AA8JK,

  101. VK9C, VK9L & VK9X, COCOS KEELING, LORD HOWE AND CHRISTMAS ISLANDS.
  102. Joerg/YB6AVE/DL8WPX, Rudi/DJ5CQ, and Dietmar/DL3DXX, will be active from
  103. these islands during the month of February. Their activity will be on all
  104. bands, but they will put their emphasis on CW working Europe on the lower
  105. bands. Look for VK9XY on Christmas Island, February 2-8th and again on 
  106. February 18-March 2nd. Look for VK9CR on Cocos-Keeling, February 8-18th.
  107. They will fly to VK4-land after their last Christmas Island stay and
  108. probably spend some more days on Lord Howe Island working as VK9LM. QSL
  109. via DJ5CQ, Rudi Mueller, Alter Main 23, D-96179 Ebing/Bamberg.

  111. VP2M, MONTSERRAT. Art, WA2UJH, will operate from February 16-26th. Art
  112. will be a Single/Op entry in the ARRL DX CW Contest. Their callsign is
  113. unknown, but while there Art will operate mostly CW on 40, 80 and 160 
  114. meters including activity on the WARC bands. QSL via NW2F.
  115.  
  116. VR2/VS6 & XX9, HONG KONG AND MACAO. Leo, K8PYD, will be leaving February
  117. 1st (returning February 28th) to be active from these two areas. He starts
  118. in VR2/VS6 and then as XX9YD in Macao. Leo mentions he has no problem
  119. switching from SSB to CW (if asked) anytime while he is on the air. He
  120. also mentioned he may venture elsewhere in the Far East pending access
  121. and permission to operate.

  123. YA, AFGHANISTAN. A station signing YA/PA3BTQ appeared Sunday morning on
  124. 14200 kHz around 1245z. Activity was for about one hour. WFWL!
  125.  
  126. ZK3, TOKELAU. "The 59 Magazine" (Japanese DX magazine) reports 5W1MM will
  127. be active from January 22-26th. No callsign was mentioned, but he will be
  128. active on all bands (especially the lower bands) and operating on all 
  129. modes including RTTY. QSL via JE6IBJ.
